If you love reading. This is just for you. A former co-worker blogged something about this book light last year and thought it might be nice to have one. Here is what I can say about the product.

Cool side

  • Lightweight and compact design
  • Light is concentrated on the book and not anywhere else
  • Good illumination
  • Can be used as a bookmark when not in use



Down side

  • You have to move the book light as you turn each page (I don’t really mind)
  • The glass scratches easily (see picture 2. the white splotches are scratches). The scratches can be pretty annoying.

 Over all I like the Book light it's very convenient to use however, it easily gets scratches (arrrg!). I hope they can improve on the material used for the lens. for more info you can check out the Light Wedge ( of course its all praises for this product)

....First off ..spaghetti sauce, then spaghetti noodles, spaghetti sauce again .. then cheese!

*giggles*

...Another layer of spaghetti sauce.. noodles and  MORE CHEESE!

TADA!!! Ready to eat..

*grabs fork*

...All I need to do is mix…mix.. hmm… how do I miiixxxx??? Arg!!! I filled everything to the brim… demmit !

Sigh!  I got too excited..

I was browsing through pictures in my computer yesterday and saw this picture. I remember I was in a depressive mood when I made this. However, it made me feel a whole lot better when I finished making it. It seems that my sulking and mopping has resulted into something comfy and useful.Gosh, I don’t want to get depressed in order to make something. It’s just too bothersome… lol

Your usual 8th floor window view does not include people with cleaning materials hanging out the window.  Since this does not happen on a regular basis we have decided to pull up the blinds so that we could take a look at them. Like little kids trying to get a good look at something interesting. We gave them a hearty wave but were ignored. It might be that they are a shy group or they are cautious not to make any sudden movements. One must learn to appreciate the kind of work that they do. Window cleaning is and art as well as a science. This job is not for everyone, not for the faint of heart. The job requires skillful hands, a good sense of balance and most importantly an absence of fear of heights. Even though they completely ignored our friendly waves, we understand that they have to take their job seriously or risk their life.

 

Hmm…. if Spiderman was real I don’t think they’d like him very much.

May 1... I was on my way to meet up my  friends. Since it was midmorning it was already scorching hot so I took the first bus that came along. When I was comfortably seated  I saw this sign   "Bawal sumakay ang mga kabit ng empleyado ng MPG Trans. " translation:"Extra marital partners of MGP Trans Employees are not permitted to ride this bus." I guess this is an official statement from the H.R. Department to ensure that the name of the bus lines remains untarnished by the philandering employees.

Last week was transportation hell. During the holidays taxi drivers becomes the prima donna of the public transport group. They demand for extra pay and choose the area they want to go to. So, I was waiting for a cab and a few feet away from me is a lady also waiting for a cab. When the first taxi crossed the intersection the lady hailed the cab first so, I stepped back to let her take it. Unfortunately, the cab misses her and went straight to me. Since I was in a hurry I boarded the cab with out glancing at the her. I felt ashamed to have stolen her ride. When I was comfortably seated, the cab driver suddenly said. “nakita mo yung babae na yon. Di ko na yon pasasakayin. Kilala ko siya. Nilagpasan ko talaga e. tignan ko kung hahabulin niya ako. Akala niya, tinandaan ko mukha niya.” (Translation: See that girl, I won’t be offering my service anymore. I know her. I intentionally passed her by. I wanted to see if she will run after my cab. She has no idea, I made sure I remembered her face.) Shocked by this revelation, I quietly asked the cab driver what happened. He quickly replied. “sinakay ko yan isang beses. My ngaabang din babae na baba sa bababaan niya. Sinabi ko pasakayin na natin nakakaawa naman e pareho naman kayo ng bababaan. Ayaw niyang pumayag. Hati naman sila sa bayad a. Tinandaan ko mukha niya. Di ko na siya pasasakayin." (Translation: She was my passenger once. At that time there was also a lady who was going to get off at the same place she’s getting off. So, I told her why not let her ride with you. She refused. They’d share the cab fare. I took note of her face. I won’t offer her my services anymore.). With this revelation, the only thing that I was able to say was “ohhhh...” when I got my office building. I gave the cabby extra 10 bucks to make sure that he won’t include me on his “Most Hated Passengers List”. That was something … so what is the moral lesson of the story? Never go against the driver’s wishes... you'll never know who is out for revenge!
